Search has been around for more than 40 years, why haven't I heard of you before?

This is perhaps the number one question we get asked. We admit Search has been flying ‘under the radar' since it was founded more than 40 years ago. During that time we have been quietly working hard to build our menu of quality services. It might have taken us a little while to get to this point, but now it's time for us to share our story.  We have an excellent story to tell, and an impressive track record of success providing great outcomes for people with developmental disabilities.

I'm interested in your services, how do I join Search?

Before telling you what we can do for you, we'll listen - to your questions, your priorities, and your expectations. We'll want to know how your life is today and your vision for the future. Once we understand things from your point of view, we'll work with you to create a package of services that respects who you are and sets you on a path toward your unique life's vision.

If I join Search, is my family welcome too?

Absolutely yes, your family is welcome here at Search. We strongly encourage family involvement.  There is no better way to learn about your life and vision for the future than by listening to the people who care about you most.  At Search, we'll help you include your family in your services and your life. 

What is a social venture?

Search owns and operates two social ventures called Planet Access Company and A Better Clean. Simply put, a social venture is a business with a social consciousness.  Search's social ventures serve two purposes:  The earned income they generate helps to support Search's innovative program offerings such as Search for Adventure and Visibility Arts.  Their second purpose is to provide real-world work training opportunities so you can learn relevant job skills while earning a nice wage at the same time.
