JJ's List Creates New Best Practice Model for ComEd Energy Force Program

Through our social enterprise JJ's List, Search has been a proud participant of in the ComEd Energy Force Program for the past two years. In 2016, we enrolled two Ambassadors, Bill Sitter and Dunham Leiner, who have traveled across Chicago to present on energy efficiency at locations including Rush Medical Center, Evanston Public Library, Navy Pier, Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club and Lincoln Park Zoo.

Importantly, JJ's List grew the experience beyond just the presentations. The team also implemented a workplace skills building experience for Bill and Dunham to organize, communicate, manage and successfully execute their events. This curriculum used tools from Search's No Boundaries program. For example, Bill and Dunham coordinated all of their events and managed supplies inventory using Google Spreadsheets and Google Calendar. Once mastered, these skills and tools became invaluable to our Ambassadors' successful participation in the program.

The result? ComEd is adopting our curriculum as a best-practice model for all 18 agencies who will participate in the Energy Force Program next year! JJ's List presented a training to Ambassadors and their supporters from all over the Chicagoland area in late June.
