Glenkirk and Search have always been committed to the modest belief that communities are made better when all their citizens get the chance to contribute. This commitment is what inspired our two organizations to come together in 2008 to form the Keystone Alliance.
We share a powerful mission, to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to live, work, recreate, and participate fully in their community. This mission is at the heart of everything that we strive to accomplish. It is the yardstick by which we measure the success of our partnership.
In 2011, Keystone Alliance launched our first collaborative efforts, a joint fundraiser. In the three years that have followed we've raised nearly $400,000 in critically needed funds to support our programs and services.
This year's event promises to be our best yet. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions, dancing, and live music by Frank and Dave. This year's Honorary Chair and Leadership Award recipient is Gordon Seabury, CEO of Horny Toad. As an outdoor industry leader for the last 18 years, Gordon has committed his adult career to building companies and brands that practice a triple bottom line (people, planet and profit) approach to business. For nearly two decades, Gordon's socially responsible vision has been instrumental in helping us realize our mission.
For more than 100 years combined, Glenkirk and Search have provided a rich combination of housing, employment, healthcare and community-based supports to empower persons with intellectual disabilities to achieve their full potential. Your generosity makes it all possible. We couldn't do what we do without you.
