Q&A with ComEd Energy Ambassador Alex

Alex F., a No Boundaries participant, was recently chosen as an Ambassador for the ComEd Energy Force Program. Read the interview below to find out more about Alex's Ambassador role!
Q: What does a ComEd Energy Ambassador do?
A: A Com-Ed Energy Ambassador talks about electricity, energy and about Com-Ed to audience members. A ComEd Energy Ambassador speaks in front of people and practices public speaking.
Q: Why do you want to be an Ambassador?
A: I want to be a Com-Ed Energy Force Ambassador because I think it will be a cool opportunity for me. Also, because I want to teach people about electricity, energy and about what the Com-Ed Energy Force Program is like. Another reason that I want to be an Ambassador is because it'll help me practice public speaking. I am working on making my voice louder, so that people can hear me when I am speaking, and eye contact as well.
Q: Why is energy efficiency important?
A: Energy efficiency is important because it helps you conserve energy. It's important not to leave light bulbs on for too long because that wastes electricity. Then you have to pay a bunch of electricity bills. One example of how I conserve energy is I turn the screen off on my phone, so that it stays charged for as long as possible.
Q: Tell us about you. What interests or hobbies do you have?
A: Some interests that I have are playing the piano, listening to music – specifically Spotify, going on Facebook and the internet, walking, and hanging out with friends. I am interested in history and current events - what's going on in the world. I read the newspaper when I'm on the bus.
Q: What do you do during the day? What about on weekends?
A: During the [week]day I have been attending No Boundaries. I usually see movies on the weekends with a friend. When I go to see movies I am actually able to see them for free, because I work at the A.M.C. theaters in Vernon Hills.
Congratulations Alex! We look forward to hearing more about the Ambassador program in the upcoming year.
