Search Achieves CQL Accreditation!

We are very pleased to share that in November of 2016, Search achieved accreditation by the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL).  Grounded in over 40 years of leadership and peer-reviewed research, CQL Accreditation promotes excellence in person-centered services and supports that lead to increased quality of life.

In preparation for accreditation, Search engaged in an intensive self-assessment and reviewed hundreds of indicators in key areas of program delivery and operation.  These areas included rights protection and promotion, dignity and respect, natural support networks, best possible health, and positive services and supports, among several others.  The CQL review team validated Search's work in these areas, through interviews with staff and individuals served, direct observation, a review of policies and program documentation and focus groups with people served.  Search was commended and congratulated for"its ongoing efforts to exemplify how a singular focus on the lives of people supported leads to making meaningful discoveries about what really matters."

Search's Quality Assurances Accreditation is for a 3-year term, but the process of accreditation is continuous.  Going into the New Year, Search is developing new plans to further integrate CQL standards into its ongoing services and supports, with a sharp focus on personal outcomes for individuals served.
