The Coleman Foundation Partners with Search to Expand Work Opportunities

Search, Inc. is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The Coleman Foundation to advance Career Services at the Planet Access Company (PAC) Warehouse!

Search recently received the wonderful news that The Coleman Foundation will be making a $125,000 investment over two years to support competitive job placements at PAC as well as in the community. The Planet Access Company, a social enterprise of Search, is a third-party logistics provider that offers state of the art warehousing, inventory management, special handling, and packaging services. Each year, the Planet Access Company generates over 9,000 hours of paid work and training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). With new support from The Coleman Foundation, Search will have increased capacity to expand its PAC training program and support new strategies with the goal of competitive job placements, at minimum wage or better. As part of this work, Search will be building new relationships with third-party logistics, "big box" and retail employers for external placement opportunities. This new initiative is part of Search's ongoing commitment to expanding employment opportunities and pathways to employment for individuals with I/DD, consistent with the goals of Employment First.
