Union Pacific Railroad Supports Search

Search thanks Union Pacific Railroad for their recent in-kind donations!

Through its Community Ties Giving Program, Union Pacific Railroad donated household items including televisions, vacuum cleaners, furniture, decor and more.  This generous donation benefitted Search and our fellow Keystone Alliance affiliate Glenkirk. Both agencies serve a combined 300 people with developmental disabilities at 50 residential homes in Chicago’s northern suburbs and north shore communities.

“The generosity of Union Pacific is greatly appreciated, and will make a targeted impact in the lives of those we serve,” says John Lipscomb, Keystone Foundation President.

Erik Varela, Senior Director of Public Affairs for Union Pacific Railroad in Illinois says, “Union Pacific is proud to support the communities where our employees live and work.  We are excited to support Search and Glenkirk in their efforts of serving those who are most vulnerable in the community; people with developmental disabilities.”

Illinois State Senator Julie Morrison remarks, "As a longtime advocate for people with disabilities, I appreciate Union Pacific joining our cause by making this generous donation to support Search and Glenkirk.”
